Daphne (or bay) leaves come from a kind of small bushy plant, is rich in essential oils and widely used in the Mediterranean and in many other cuisines in the world as a condiment.

First the Greeks and then the Romans used to be crowned with laurel branches winners of the Olympic Games. So, even today the laurel is identified with  glory,  victory and supremacy, while since antiquity were known its therapeutic properties.

Naturally dried bay leaves collected from plants, grown in mountainous and hilly areas of Magnesia.

The decoction of leaves is considered beneficial in cases of dyspepsia and anorexia, has astringent, antidiarrheal and diuretic properties, soothes sore throats and efficiently cures oral infections.
