History of Verbena

Verbena is a perennial plant, aromatic, rich in essential oils and its origin is from America. Was brought to Europe by the Spanish in the 17th century.

Initially, the herb was called «center». The name «Louise» is in honor of Maria-Luisa Teresa de Parma, wife of King Carlos the 4th of Spain, because, reportedly drank it frequently.

Also is known as lemongrass.
